In its first full year, the National Alliance for Care at Home (the Alliance) reached many significant milestones and accomplished much with and on behalf of its members and the care at home movement.

Policy & Advocacy

  • Conducted hundreds of critical meetings with Congress and regulatory bodies, ensuring your perspectives were heard and securing numerous fixes to improve your operating environment
  • Provided real-time updates on DC dynamics (legislation, CMS priorities, Hill developments), enabling you to anticipate what’s coming and understand how it impacts you
  • Advocated with CMS to secure – from proposed to final rule – approximately $915 million more in payments to home health agencies for 2026 and every subsequent year through 2030

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Offered access to individualized guidance from the Alliance’s robust suite of subject matter experts
  • Submitted regulatory comments that protected your interests and pushed back successfully on harmful proposals
  • Secured a payment rate increase and regulatory flexibilities for hospices from CMS in response to Alliance comments on the FY 2026 hospice proposed rule
  • Prompted CMS to retract its improper OASIS guidance for home health agencies, protecting you from regulatory burden

Education, Programming & Connection

  • Hosted three inaugural events – Financial Summit, Advocacy Week, and the Annual Meeting & Expo – bringing industry-leading education and preeminent leaders together to connect, learn, and progress our shared cause
  • Connected you with peers facing similar challenges through our Member Engagement Model and My Alliance Communities, creating a deep support network
  • Provided the chance to involve your team and commit to continuous improvement through online self-paced and virtual education and member programs – from We Honor Veterans to Quality Connections
  • Equipped you with resources to make real improvements to your daily operations through comprehensive reports and practical toolkits and guides equipped you with resources

Media & Outreach

  • Helped you tell your story through education, advocacy materials, and grassroots efforts empowering you to engage directly with policymakers and CMS
  • Shaped the national conversation and expanded care at home’s media presence with over 2,000 mentions and counting across outlets like The New York Times, Axios, Politico, Bloomberg, Forbes, CNBC, Inside Health Policy, and Modern Healthcare
  • Connected directly with you through our Who Cares podcast and social media channels, and brought you the latest in our Newsroom
  • Influenced voter sentiment perceptions of the Administration by commissioning a poll [PDF] showing bipartisan support for home-based care and opposition to Medicare home health cuts

Our accomplishments this year are a testament to your voice and your passion for the delivery of high-quality care.

We will continue to be your advocate, resource, and network, and now, we have more strength than ever before to help you achieve your goals now and in the future.  As we move into the new year, we remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting your efforts, advocating for our field, and driving innovation in the home.

Thank you for your continued support and trust in the Alliance. We look forward to achieving even greater heights together in the year ahead.

We are stronger together.
