We Honor Veterans
Alliance Program
Support Our Veterans
We Honor Veterans (WHV), a program of the National Alliance for Care at Home, empowers Alliance Provider Members to meet the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families. By recognizing their unique needs, participants learn how to accompany and guide veterans through their life stories toward more compassionate care and a more peaceful ending.
Get started by exploring resources for veterans on the We Honor Veterans website.
We Honor Veterans provides educational tools and resources in advancing these goals:
- Promote veteran-centric educational activities.
- Increase organizational capacity to serve Veterans.
- Support development of strategic partnerships.
- Increase access and improve quality.
Program Background & 2026 Participation
In the summer of 2024, WHV completed its multi-year contract with the Department of Veteran Affairs, marking an important milestone for the program. All educational materials created currently available on the We Honor Veterans website will remain publicly available, and the site will continue to serve as a resource for community good.
Beginning January 2026, the We Honor Veterans program will become a members-only benefit. This means all programmatic components of WHV – including partner recognition – will be available to Alliance members only.
We Honor Veterans partner members will gain access to new and enhanced benefits, such as:
- Updated resources to support work with veterans
- Revamped Office Hours for more tailored support
- Access to the WHV My Alliance online community for networking and collaboration
- Mentorship opportunities within the new WHV community
- Distinct recognition for achievement levels
