The Visiting Nurses Association has been providing care for residents of northern Illinois for more than 100 years. They cared for our grand-parents and great-grand parents, during the vast flu and typhoid epidemics. They helped delivery our babies’ right in our homes. They even climbed through rubble to provide care for those trapped in the devastations of a tornado.

Over the years, much has changed, the staff, technology and use of state of the art medical procedures. What hasn’t changed is the way we care for our patients and their families. The skilled hands of VNA professionals still provide comfort, care and compassion to enhance the lives of our patients, to allow them to continue to live comfortable and independent in their own homes. From assisting with home births to helping with our end-of-life journeys, the visiting nurse has become a true member of our families.

VNA has established a reputation professional service that physicians, case managers, discharge planners; and most importantly, patients and families can depend on. Our patient centered clinical care and personalized services bring our patients a peace of mind and satisfaction that is continually ranked high.

VNA has five primary programs, each of which is comprised of specialized services, some unique only to VNA: Home Health Care, Home Medical Equipment, Home Infusion Therapy, Hospice and Older Adult Services.
