Compassion Hospice

Compassion Hospice was founded in May of 2007 by local residents after much thought, prayer, and consideration to the state of hospice care in the area. Founded under the premise of ‘Care without Compromise’, our goal is to be the area leader in providing genuine and honest hospice care.

In reaching for those goals, we made the commitment to attaining national accreditation through the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) – this 3 year process was completed in 2010 and signifies our meeting or exceeding higher standards in both hospice care and administrative responsibilities. Another goal was to be the leader in Southeast Texas hospice in quality of care and customer satisfaction – we attained that goal in 2015 when we were named Deyta’s 2015 Hospice Honors recipient – compared to more than 1700 hospices nationwide in 18 areas of customer satisfaction, Compassion Hospice was selected as being in the top 7% nationwide! We’re proud and honored to be selected – it’s only through our compassionate team of nurses, medical directors, chaplains, social workers, counselors, volunteers and support staff’s hard work and commitment to excellence, and it shows
