Privacy Policy

The National Alliance for Care at Home is committed to respecting the privacy and security of all visitors to our website. We understand that when you choose to share personal information with us, you are placing your trust in our ability to safeguard your privacy and offer you control over how your information is shared. By using our website, you consent to the collection and use of your information by the Alliance, as outlined below.

Types of Information Requested:

Users may visit the website without providing the Alliance with any personal information. However, to access pages restricted to our membership, users must be members of the Alliance through one of the available membership categories.

Documents on the Alliance member pages are authorized for use only by current Alliance members. Copying or sharing these materials with individuals or organizations that are not members of the Alliance constitutes a copyright infringement. If you need information about Alliance membership, please visit www.allianceforcareathome.org/membership.

The Alliance collects names, titles, institutions, mailing addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses, and other contact and demographic information voluntarily provided by individuals who register to access members-only content. For individuals registering for conferences or making publication purchases, additional payment-related information will also be collected.

How Your Personal Information Is Used:

The Alliance does not disclose to third parties any information collected from the website that could be used to track your individual access or navigation of our site. To protect the integrity of the personal information you provide, we use computer encryption technology to safeguard your information from unauthorized access or disclosure. To help offset the costs of providing online services, we may occasionally share aggregate information about our users with advertisers or business partners; however, we will never identify you individually.

The Alliance may use email and mailing addresses voluntarily provided by site visitors to notify them of updates, products, services, or upcoming events. Visitors who do not wish to receive such notifications can opt out at any time, either during registration or by unsubscribing from promotional emails they receive.

Non-identifiable website visitor data may be collected and used in aggregate form to help shape and improve the creation and maintenance of content on our site.

Resale or Disclosure of Information to Third Parties:

The Alliance may, from time to time, license its industry database to third parties. This database includes company names, addresses, and the names of company contacts, which are provided to licensees under strict guidelines. The names and addresses of company contacts are shared only for communications relevant to the home care community or of interest to healthcare professionals as consumers. Email addresses and phone numbers are not included in such licensing arrangements.

The Alliance collects this data through its annual Provider Membership Verification Process, but the information may be supplemented or updated through details you voluntarily provide when registering for member-level access to the site or when purchasing a conference registration or publication.

Cookies

We use cookies on our site to support the multiple levels of access available on the Alliance’s website. Cookies also help us better understand how visitors interact with the site. A “cookie” is a text file stored on the user’s hard drive that contains information about the user. This information allows us to statistically monitor how many people are using our site and for what purposes.

Credit Card Security:

Currently, this site collects information (e.g., name, title, institution, mailing address, telephone number, fax number, email address, payment information) that is voluntarily provided by individuals who register for Alliance conferences or purchase products online. Sensitive information, such as your credit card number, is encrypted and protected using SSL encryption software when transmitted to the Alliance. Credit card information is not stored or reused in any way. Only authorized personnel with specific IDs and passwords can access credit card information, and solely for the purpose of processing authorized transactions.

Email:

Messages that you send to us via email may not be secure. The Alliance recommends that you do not send any confidential information through email. If you choose to send confidential information via email, you accept the risk that a third party may intercept your information.
