Description

Most organizations build growth strategy on assumptions about how families choose care. This session replaces assumptions with data. RaisedCare and the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology surveyed 589 families with direct home care experience and found a consistent gap between what providers think families want and what families do. Leaders learn where families form trust, where providers lose them silently, and which fixes move the needle fastest.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Rank the sources families trust most and least when choosing care, and reallocate marketing investment toward the highest-trust channels in their own organization.
  2. Audit their digital presence against the criteria families use to eliminate providers, and revise their intake response standard to meet the documented 12-hour expectation.

Michael Theodore

Mike Theodore is the founder of RaisedCare, a growth strategy consultancy for senior care operators. He spent five years working inside a family-owned home care agency, where he saw firsthand how owners get stuck — not from lack of effort, but from lack of a clear plan. That experience, combined with his background leading global demand generation for an international company and work at two marketing strategy agencies, shapes how RaisedCare approaches growth: strategically, not tactically. RaisedCare works with home care agencies, senior living communities, and CCRCs to improve qualified demand, conversion, and referral trust — without long-term agency contracts or cookie-cutter marketing campaigns.
