This session provides an overview of the PACT Act and the health and care needs of veterans, and explores how VA organizations, healthcare providers, and community partners can collaborate to better support veterans and their families throughout the care continuum.

Veteran Engagement Liaison, Texas – New Mexico Hospice & Palliative Care Organization As a Vietnam Veteran I am honored and blessed to be part of an organization that has a mission to serve veterans and their families. 
I am proud to have earned an Associate Degree in Marketing, A Bachelor’s degree in Business, and a Master’s in Theology.  I have two children, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren with another on the way.  I was born and raised in San Antonio and my favorite place to visit is Colorado, I believe that is where God spends his vacation as well. 
I started the South-Central Texas Hospice Veteran Partnership (SCTHVP) in 2015.  I have been a partner of We Honor Veterans since 2011. We are nationally sponsored by The Alliance for Care at Home.  I was fortunate to have been with one of 8 companies nationwide to carry the task of helping develop the Level 5 criteria.
