Women veterans represent a growing and often underserved population in care-at-home settings, yet their unique experiences frequently go unrecognized. This session examines the health disparities and systemic challenges women veterans face, including military sexual trauma, PTSD, disability disparities, and homelessness, and offers practical strategies for creating space for their stories, affirming their service, and connecting them to the resources and community they deserve.

Learning Outcomes:

1) Recognize how unaddressed reproductive health experiences may intersect with serious illness and shape the care needs of women veterans in care-at-home settings.

2) Identify the systemic challenges disproportionately affecting women veterans, including military sexual trauma, PTSD, and disability rating disparities.

3) Apply strategies for supporting women veterans in care settings, including affirming their service, inviting their stories, and connecting them to relevant resources and communities.
