Skilled Care Within the Comfort of Your Home
As a service of Beloit Health System, At-Home Healthcare provides quality home health services in the comfort of your home. For the 3rd consecutive year, At-Home Healthcare has been awarded the Patient Satisfaction Award of Distinction by Fazzi and Associates (click the logo for details.)
To qualify for home health services you have to have a medical need for intermittent, skilled care from a Registered Nurse or Physical Therapist. We are a Joint Commission Accredited, Medicare/Medicaid certified agency. At-Home Healthcare territory covers Rock, Green, and Walworth counties in Wisconsin and Winnebago and Boone counties in Illinois.
Skilled Nursing:
Registered nurses work with your physician to create a plan of care for you at home to help in your recovery. The nurse teaches you, or your caregiver, how to give the care you need, such as managing your colostomy or Foley catheter, changing your dressings, or giving IV therapy and other medications or treatments. A nurse is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Therapy Services:
Physical, Occupational, and/or Speech therapy may be ordered by your physician to improve your ability to function safely in your home. An Occupational or Physical therapist teaches you exercised to help you gain strength and balance as well as improve your mobility. Your physician may order Speech therapy if you have trouble speaking and/or swallowing, which can be caused by a stroke or other nervous system process.
Social Work:
Sometimes patients have trouble managing the stress of a chronic illness or other life changing medical event. A social worker can meet with you and your family/caregiver to help you with resources in the community for assistance, including financial resources that could help you manage at home.
If the need arises that you just cannot stay in your home, a social worker can help you find other living arrangements where you can be safe and comfortable and receive excellent support and care.
Home Health Aides:
A certified nursing assistant (CNA) provides help with grooming, bathing and dressing. The home health aide may also help you work on improving your ability to move as directed by the Registered Nurse or Therapist.
Payment for Home Care:
Your services from At-Home Healthcare may be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance or personal payments.
